Vánoční dekorace na dveře / Christmas Decoration for the Entrance Door

Moje letošní vánoční výzdoba vstupních dveří.

This year`s decoration of the entrance door of my flat.

Na výrobu stromečků budeme potřebovat:
- bavlněné látky s vánoční tématikou
- výplňový materiál (ja jsem použila polštáře z Ikea)
- celou skořici
- stuhu na zavěšení

We will need the following to make the trees:
- Christmas cotton fabrics
- stuffing material (I have used cushions from Ikea)
- whole cinnamon sticks
- a ribbon for hanging up

Vždy dva trojúhelníky látky položíme lícem na sebe a po rubové straně prošijeme po celém obvodu, s výjimkou ca 2 cm v místě kmene. Poté sestřihneme špičky a pomocí otvoru v dolní části obrátíme na líc.

We take two triangles and put them right sides together. We sew them all the way round on the wrong side, leaving a 2 cm hole at the bottom. We cut the tips of the triangle and using the small hole turn the fabric to the right side.

Stromečky vycpeme, v dolní části vložíme skořici-kmen stromu a ručně sešijeme otvor.

We stuff the trees, insert a cinnamon stick to the bottom side and sew the hole by hand.

Nakonec přidáme na zadní stranu stužku, pomocí které můžeme stromečky zavěsit.

In the end we attach a ribbon for hanging up to the back side of the tree.

Modrobílé tričko Frankie (střih od Tilly and the Buttons) / Blue and white Frankie T-shirt (pattern by Tilly and the Buttons)

Toto je moje třetí tričko Frankie (střih od Tilly and the Buttons z knížky Stretch!). Předtím jsem už šila jedno s krátkým rukávem a druhé podobně jako toto s dlouhým. Oproti střihu jsem tentokrát přidala manžety rukávů ze stejné látky, která je použita na přední a zadní díl.

Střih je jednoduchý na šití a sedí perfektně - je to jeden z mých nejoblíbenějších.


This is my third Frankie T-shirt (pattern by Tilly and the Buttons from her book Stretch!). I have already sewn a short-sleeved one and a long-sleeved one. This time I added a new feature - the cuffs from the same fabric, which has been used for the front and back bodice parts.

The pattern is easy to sew and it fits perfectly - one of my favourites.

Staré kousky novým objektivem ( I.) / Old Pieces through New Lens (I.)

Oba následující modely jsem šila už asi před třemi lety a jsem v nich už dříve vyfocená. Protože si ale můj kamarád, který mě vždy fotí, nedávno pořídil nový portrétní objektiv, rozhodli jsme se je přefotit.

Both models below were sewn about three years ago and I published photos wearing them some time ago. However, my friend who always takes photos of me-made clothes, has bought a new portrait lens, so we have decided to reshoot them.


Letní kalhoty - lehce upravený střih na pyžamové kalhoty Margot od Tilly and the Buttons (z knihy Láska na první steh).

Summer trousers - slightly adjusted pattern for Margot pyjamas by Tilly and the Buttons (from the book Love at First Stitch).

Liliiny šaty (střih od Tilly and the Buttons) / Lilou Dress (pattern by Tilly and the Buttons)

Liliiny šaty jsou posledním modelem v knížce Láska na první steh od Tilly Walnes a byl to také poslední model z této knížky, který mi ještě zbýval ušít.

Vybrala jsem lněnou látku, se kterou se mi pracovalo výborně. Bohužel ale len má i jednu nevýhodu - má tendenci se hodně mačkat.

Střih jsem musela trošku upravovat, hlavně v oblasti živůtku. Fotili jsme na brněnské přehradě.


Lilou dress is the last model published in the book Love at First Stitch by Tilly Walnes and it was also the last model left for me to sew.

I have chosen a linen fabric, which was great to work with. Unfortunatelly, working with linen has also its drawbacks - the fabric has a tendency to crease a lot.

I had to adjust the pattern a bit, especially the bodice part. The photos were taken at the Brno Reservoir.

Květinové zavinovací šaty / Flowery Wrap Dress

Zavinovací šaty jsem šila podle střihu č. 101 z Burdy 7/2016 a sedí mi skvěle, nemusela jsem dělat žádné úpravy. Materiál je polyester. Látku jsem koupila při loňské návštěvě Londýna na trhu ve Walthamstow.

Fotili jsme v krásné oblasti zvané "Moravské Toskánsko" (okolí Kyjova na jižní Moravě).


This wrap dress has been sewn according to pattern no. 101 from Burda magazine 7/2016. The pattern was perfect and no adjustments were needed. The fabric is polyester and I bought it at the Walthamstow fabric market last year.

The photos have been taken in the beautiful region of so called "Moravian Tuscany" (area around Kyjov in the South Moravian Region).
